Lectio Divina { Latin for Divine Reading }
Firstly, I’m really glad you’re here. Something invited you to pause and arrive at this moment, and it’s wonderful that your open to trust that.
Lectio Divina is NOT, about religion or getting something “right.”
It’s about being gently guided back into relationship with God, and learning a practice that will train and help you slow down enough and dissolve away the overstimulation of modern world enough to listen and hear how God communicates to you.
Lectio Divina primarily creates space for this connection to unfold naturally. Nothing is forced. Nothing is performed. You’re simply guided to be present and listen and rediscover how God meets you there. You’re welcome exactly as you are.
Secondly, in case you have never been exposed to scripture before, Scripture is not inert text. It is living speech. It comes alive within our spirit.
When the Holy Scriptures are read very slowly and attentively, the ‘Word’ does not simply communicate ideas nor is it absorbed like “normal words when we read” It works on the inner life. It comes ALIVE, as the spirit, it has to be experienced to be understood.
Lectio Divina is a disciplined way of allowing Scripture to connect you to the postures needed to experience GOD and you're invited to this experience in the comfort of your own home. .
Transformation does not occur through effort or emotional intensity. Like ‘counterfeit spiritually teaches’ It occurs through sustained stillness and exposure to the word. Over time, participants experience:
A noticeable shift in inner stability
Reduced mental and emotional reactivity, a sense that “something up there is with you”
Clearer moral and spiritual discernment
A calmer, more regulated inner life
A deeper, more personal relationship with God
Reduced spiritual confusion and overstimulation
The ability to recognise God’s voice beyond concepts and techniques
Sessions are quiet, facilitated, and structured so you can feel held enough to melt into your internal atmosphere, for that is what opens the doorway to God.
There is no discussion, no performance, and no pressure to respond. The authority rests with the Holy Spirit / Text, not the facilitator nor the individual.
